Healthy Shiny Hair is Yours, All Yours!

The texture of our hair changes with time. The reason for this is our hectic schedules and lifestyles. Though we maintain proper etiquette and attire in social gatherings, we miss out on the rather more important finer aspects of hair care. To start with, vices like excessive stress, smoking, not exercising and not eating nutritiously, along with lack of rest affect the quality of our hair adversely.

In order to counter these follies, we make up with a ton of accessories, tools and chemicals to experiment with our hair. It sure gives a stunning look, but do we care to remove the traces of these chemicals after the cause is over? To condition our hair back to normal, we should use a high quality shampoo and conditioner. A healthy and nutritious diet is also welcome news.

Hair products which contain alcohol dry out hair. They should be used scarcely. Also, care should be taken not to put the styling gels directly on the scalp, as it will block the ventilating pores. While using dryers, make sure they are kept at a formidable distance, and that the setting is cooler, as hot air can steal the moisture from your hair.

Daily routines like swimming also require a bit of attention. Do wear a cap to protect your hair from chlorinated water. If you are swimming sans a cap, make sure you wash your hair with good shampoo to alleviate the chlorine content from your hair.

Plastic brushes should be avoided, as they product static electricity. Also, do not brush wet or damp hair, as they are most vulnerable to break and cause split ends. Let it dry completely.

Massing the scalp is a very healthy exercise, which is advantageous for the hair growth and quality. It also soothes and relaxes the mind. The blood flow is stimulated, which nourishes the follicles, preventing hair loss. Care should be taken to massage the hair and scalp with fingertips and not nails.

Improper protein synthesis results in discoloration (graying) of hair. Malnutrition, tension, shock, hereditary and similar reasons lead to the loss of the natural gloss of our hair. Daily massage of the hair will reduce this drawback. Plus a nutritious diet rich in vitamin, minerals and proteins is required.

Dandruff is another annoying condition which is caused by itchy or flaky scalp. An over production and build up of dead cells is dandruff. White or gray flakes which tumble down our shoulders and collars appear pretty ugly. Allergies, low humidity, improper hygiene, cold or dry weather, stress and similar reasons are the causes for this ailment. Intake of fried food, chocolates and dairy products decreases the dandruff growth. Plus a stress free life with regular shampooing would deliver positive results.

Hair loss is a major cause of concern in today's world. Young people hardly off their teens have started facing this problem. Diets rich in nutrient value would help in slowing the loss and also grow more hair follicles. Hair loss is largely related to being hereditary, but it can be slowed by natural ways. Artificial injections of hair glands, transplantation and scalp reduction provide some relief for this condition.

As we can conclude, almost all the hair related problems can be done away with, if we follow a formidable and healthy lifestyle. The use of hair products should be limited and as per required, sufficient intake of balanced diets, regular exercise, and feeling happy from the inside would radically show its benefits in your adoring tresses!
